Bryan Heck is an Alberta artist born with the heart of a man who has seen the world. Heck was raised in Red Deer by his parents, Joe and Eileen along with his two older brothers Jeff and Jason. Bryan was always a rambunctious kid, constantly pushing his parents rules to the limit and challenging life to the max. Luckily, he was encouraged by his teachers to challenge the rules when it came to art, which would have a great influence on how he approaches each canvas. When Hecks time in Red Deer came to an end, he continued on to grow and learn in Edmonton, Alberta. He extended his studies at Grant MacEwan College where he gained his Design Foundation Certificate as well as his Diploma in Design Studies majoring in Design & Illustration. His travels didnt end there as he continued to expand his experiences in life with a trip to Europe, during which his drive to create increased as his knowledge and passion in art grew. Heck is enormously experimental with the mediums he chooses to manipulate to create his artwork from coffee and spray paint to snow brushes and wool socks, the list goes on. He views his art as a form of release, pouring his emotions into each piece, allowing most of his art to come together moments before hitting the canvas.
Creating art is just as much an experience for the artist as it is for the individual viewing the art.
